BEST VIEWED LARGE

In honor and remembrance of all who have given the ultimate sacrifice to ensure our freedom!!!

All images in this collage were taken at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery just miles south of St. Louis Missouri.

To stand in the center of the cemetery and turn slowly in a circle looking at the headstones as they disappear in the distance all around you is a humbling experience.

Each head stone shows where an individual who fought to ensure freedom for people not only here in America but all over the world has come to their final rest.

Think and say what you wish about the politicians and government of our country but who can deny the sacrifice that has been made by so many individuals from America for people all over this world.

This is but a small tribute for the sacrifice that so many have made.

“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them”
